Lexica.art, a Text-to-image website that gives stunning images like Midjourney, using Stable Diffusion

With the advent of ChatGPT, AI seems to be taking the world by storm. Every day there are new Apps being created and shared, some similar in what they do and others go beyond the imagination. I am not sure what category most would place Lexica.art in, but for me, it is the solution a person who is low on funds would be happy to know about.

Lexica.art is a image generator, that produces stunning art and images just from a description or prompt you input. Unlike Midjourney where you use // before you get a prompt, to get the software to work, Lexica bypasses that and you can just type what you desire. It’s easy to use with an even simpler UI.

Sign up to Lexica.art

You do need to sign up before you start using Lexica.art, however. Like any other software or SAAS program nowadays,  You know they are going to want your email and password before giving you a chance to use it.  After signing up you are good to go, without any further delay, you can start on your creative journey.

How does Lexica work

Lexica is quite simple to use, all you have to do is Click on Generate, and this will take you to a screen where you see two input areas. One is Marked “Describe your image”. This is where you start typing describing in detail what you would like your image to look like. This description is also called the prompt.  The other input shows “Negative prompt”; this is where you type anything that you do not want to see, and the AI will omit it.

Generating images with Lexica

When generating your free images, you have a lot of options to choose from in terms of the look. You can click More Ideas, which will drop down to reveal all the different options. You select whichever you would like, and complete your Description and negative prompts if you feel like it. The negative prompt section is really optional so you can leave that part out if you so choose. Once you have described your image, then you can go ahead and click on Generate. Wait a few seconds and

How much does lexica.ai cost?

This platform you may think is very expensive. However, it’s Free, to an extent. When you sign up for this tool, you get 16 free images each Month.  This used to be 100, which was super awesome, but I guess they want to nudge you into paying for the service.

They have Monthly and yearly payment plans, as seen below.

Conclusion

If you want some beautiful ai artwork, from a AI image generator with its roots in stable diffusion. Don’t take a second guess, sign up for Lexica art and start creating.  Sure there are other text-to-image generators out there, but none are as straightforward and simple to use as Lexica. It’s somewhat free, but if you do decide to subscribe to a paid version, you won’t be disappointed. You have the Yearly plans you can explore, or the monthly plans. Whichever you can afford to start on your ai art journey.
